Squarespace plans 2026 — which one do you actually need?
Squarespace overhauled its pricing structure in early 2026. The old Personal, Business and Commerce plans are gone. Here is a plain-English guide to the four new tiers, what is included, and the one thing that will save you money right now.
The four plans at a glance
All prices shown are billed annually in GBP. Monthly billing costs around 30% more — see below.
Basic
£13/mo
~£18/mo if billed monthly
Custom domain, unlimited pages, SSL, blogging, basic analytics.
Portfolios, simple blogs, brochure sites with no selling.
Most popular
Core
£19/mo
~£27/mo if billed monthly
Everything in Basic plus advanced analytics, integrations, and selling tools. No transaction fees on physical products.
Small businesses, therapists, creatives, service providers.
Plus
£30/mo
~£43/mo if billed monthly
Adds lower payment processing rates. Best if you are selling regularly online.
Growing online shops with regular transaction volume.
Advanced
£76/mo
~£109/mo if billed monthly
Lowest processing fees, advanced ecommerce tools, abandoned cart recovery.
High-volume online stores where fee savings justify the cost.
The honest advice: Most of my clients are on Core. It covers everything a small creative or wellness business needs — a beautiful site, solid analytics, the ability to sell services or occasional products, and no transaction fees. You do not need Plus or Advanced unless you are running a busy online shop.
The single biggest thing you can do to save money
Pay annually. It sounds obvious but a lot of people stay on monthly billing because they signed up in a hurry and never changed it. The difference is not small.
Core plan — annual
£228/yr
£19 per month, billed once a year
Core plan — monthly
£324/yr
£27 per month, billed twelve times
You save
£96/yr
Just for switching to annual billing. Same plan, same features.
Watch out for the add-ons
The plan price is not the whole story. These extras are all billed separately and can add up quickly.
Domain renewal — free for the first year on annual plans, then typically around £16/year for a standard .co.uk or .com.
Google Workspace email — free for the first year on Core plans and above, then around £6/month billed annually (£72/year), or around £8.28/month if you pay monthly. Annual billing saves you here too.
Acuity Scheduling (for bookings) — starts at around £14/month annually (£168/year), or around £20/month on monthly billing.
Email Campaigns (Squarespace's own newsletter tool) — from around £4/month annually (£48/year) for a small list, but rises with volume. Worth comparing to dedicated platforms before committing.
None of these are bad products. But check your billing dashboard and make sure you are only paying for what you are actually using.
The standard trial is 14 days. Working with me, you get 6 months.
Anyone signing up directly to Squarespace gets a 14-day free trial. That is enough to get a feel for the platform, but rarely enough to build and test a full site before committing.
As a Squarespace Circle member, I can start your trial for you — which gives you a full 6 months to build properly, get feedback, and make sure everything is working before you spend anything on a subscription. I also get you 20% off your first year when you are ready to sign up.
If you are starting from scratch or want your existing site properly reviewed, get in touch and we can talk about where to begin.
Not sure which plan you are on?
Log into Squarespace, go to Settings, then Billing and Account. Your plan and renewal date will be right there. If you are on monthly billing and have been on the platform for more than three months, switching to annual will save you a meaningful amount straight away.
