From Prints to Workshops: Artist & Printmaker, Jo Morley’s Creative Journey
Art Workshops with Jo Morley in Southampton
I’ve just returned from visiting my lovely friend and client, Jo Morley, in her beautiful new art studio in Southampton.
I first met Jo in 2020, just after we all returned to work post-Covid. Jo, a talented printmaker, wanted to start selling her prints online. She shared how determined she was to be brave and put herself out there—but she also admitted she wasn’t very technical and felt intimidated by the idea of being online and showing her work.
Together, we created a website Jo felt proud of. Soon after, she was attending print fairs and selling her prints. Then came another challenge: hosting workshops from her home. I was lucky enough to attend one, and it was such a lovely day! Jo is a natural teacher, making everyone feel safe and inspired to enjoy the creative process.
Jo didn’t stop there—she began facilitating workshops further afield, and before long, I heard she was teaching printmaking in Skyros, Greece. This year, she found the perfect space for her own fully independent art studio.
Jo has now developed a fantastic range of creative courses at her studio in Kemps Quay, Southampton. She has become such an inspiring example of confidence, determination, and generosity in sharing her talents. There is parking on site or you can get a train to Bitterne Station which is a 5 minute walk from the studio.

Studio 4B is not only a place to take workshops—it’s also open to guest artists who want to run their own creative sessions. If this sounds like something you’d like to do, get in touch with Jo!
I’m also planning to host a marketing workshop for my clients in a group setting, covering the areas they struggle with most—whether that’s creating content in Canva, starting or updating a website, blogging, or sending emails to subscribers. I’ll be reaching out soon for ideas and the best times to meet. There’s so much I know people often find challenging, and I can’t wait to help.
Jo’s journey is a brilliant reminder that courage, creativity, and determination can turn big dreams into reality—and that stepping out of your comfort zone can lead to amazing growth.
