How much does a Squarespace website cost in the UK? (2026)
Written by Squarespace expert and Circle Member, Emily Jagger
The short answer
A Squarespace website in the UK costs around £228 a year if you build it yourself, and £1,425 + VAT if you hire me to build it for you. In between, there's a middle route: a personalised plan from me for £345 + VAT, and you build from it.
I'm writing this for therapists, wellness practitioners and creatives running heart-led businesses. You want a website that feels like you and brings in the right clients, and you want to know what that costs before you start. Most designers hide their prices. I'd rather show you mine, explain what you're paying for, and help you decide which route makes sense for you.
Your options at a glance
How much does a Squarespace website cost
On top of any of these, you pay Squarespace directly for your plan. Most of my clients use the Core plan, which is £228 a year on annual billing.
What you pay Squarespace
Whichever route you choose, your Squarespace subscription is yours. It's in your name and on your card, so you always own your website. Here's the rough running cost on annual billing:
Core plan: around £19 a month (£228 a year). This is the one most heart-led businesses need.
Domain: free for the first year on an annual plan, then around £16 a year.
Google Workspace email (you@yourbusiness.co.uk): around £6 a month, or £72 a year.
Extras such as Acuity Scheduling for bookings or Email Campaigns, only if you need them.
If you start your site through me, you get a 6-month trial instead of the standard 14 days. That gives you time to build without paying from day one.

What you're really paying for
Squarespace makes it easy to build something that looks lovely. What it doesn't do is tell you what to say, which pages you need, or how to get found.
That's where most DIY websites stall. They look fine, but nobody finds them, or the people who do aren't sure you're the right person to trust with something as personal as their health, their healing or their creative work.
Google now looks closely at experience, expertise, authority and trust. It calls this E-E-A-T, and AI search tools look for the same signals. For a therapist or practitioner, that means your training, your experience, real client stories and a clear sense of who you are. When those are built into your website from the start, both Google and your future clients can see why you're worth choosing. Watch my explanation on SEO here
That strategy sits at the heart of everything I offer, whichever route you take.
Website Blueprint Service
Option 1: Website Blueprint, £345 + VAT
This is the most affordable way to get a website built on proper strategy. You do the building, but you never face a blank page wondering what goes where.
The Blueprint is a personalised PDF that maps out your whole website. Here's how it works:
You answer my questionnaire. The questions draw out your experience, your training, your client results and the story behind your work. These are the things that build trust with Google and with people.
I plan your pages. You get up to 5 pages, each laid out section by section, with the trust signals built in: where your credentials go, where your testimonials sit, where your story and FAQs belong, and why.
I give you your keywords. Each page gets its main search phrase and the supporting words around it, so your pages work together rather than competing. I include the words to use in your image alt text and captions too.
I write your SEO titles and descriptions. One for every page, ready to paste into Squarespace.
You build. You start your site through me with the 6-month trial, and I'm on hand if you get stuck.
This suits you if you're comfortable with a bit of tech, happy to write in your own words, and want to get the foundations right without paying for a full build.
Option 2: Blueprint with Launch Check, £425 + VAT
This is the Blueprint plus a second pair of eyes before you go live. On its own, the Launch Check is £95 + VAT. Bundled with the Blueprint, you save £15.
Once you've built your site, I'll go through it properly:
Every page reviewed on desktop and mobile
Links, forms and image sizes checked
Your SEO titles, descriptions and alt text checked against the plan
A short list of fixes, most important first
A 30-minute call to talk them through
This suits you if you want to do it yourself but would sleep better knowing an expert has checked it before you share it with the world.
Bespoke website build
Option 3: Bespoke build, £1,425 + VAT
If you'd rather spend your time with clients than learning Squarespace, I'll build the whole thing for you. That's £1,425 + VAT (£1,710 in total), paid in three monthly instalments of £570, so you're not finding it all at once.
You get the same strategy as the Blueprint, and I carry it all the way through:
A detailed conversation about your business, your clients and what you want your website to do
Your pages planned with every trust signal built in
A bespoke design that feels like you, not a stock template
Keywords, alt text, SEO titles and descriptions all done
Your domain and Google Workspace email set up for you
A handover so you feel confident making small changes yourself
Your Squarespace account is in your name from day one, so the website is always yours. I take on a maximum of three builds at a time, so you get my full attention.
This suits you if you want a website that works hard for your business and you'd rather hand it to someone you trust.
After launch
There's no compulsory monthly fee with me. Quick questions are always free. If you need something bigger, like a new page or a fix, I charge £36 + VAT an hour.
If you'd like ongoing help keeping your site healthy and growing, my Creative Boost partnership guides you through your website each month. It starts with a £16 one-off guide you follow yourself, and goes up to £65 a month with a call and group support.
Which one is right for you?
Ask yourself two honest questions: how much time do you have, and how much do you enjoy the tech side?
Plenty of time and you like a project? The Blueprint gives you everything you need to build it well.
Happy to build but nervous about getting it wrong? Add the Launch Check.
Short on time, or you'd rather not touch it? The bespoke build is the one for you.
And if you're just starting out and money is tight, it's fine to build a simple site yourself for now. A clear, honest one-page site is better than no site at all. You can always come back to me when you're ready to grow.

It stands for experience, expertise, authoritativeness and trustworthiness. Google uses it to judge whether a website is a reliable source, especially on topics that affect people's health and wellbeing. Showing your training, experience and client stories clearly helps you get found and chosen.
